Love Songs
We went to a special Valentine's Party that a youth group from Capital City Alliance Church in the Philippines had thrown. On a side note, I think it is a great idea to throw a Valentine's party with your youth group on Valentine's, especially for the singles who are left with nothing to do on that night... and also for couples, who can drop by for the party maybe after their "date" - to have a wholesome fun night. Anyways, I hope to get a list of the some of the games we played on here, but what I wanted to post about was the "Love Songs Game". Here's how to play:
- Divide your group into teams, it's really up to you how many... but the more groups there are the more fun and competitive it will be. Get each group to sit in a circle.
- You can give each group a piece of paper and pen (this is optional) and for them to come up with as many love songs as they can - at least two or three people from the group need to know the song.
- Each group takes a turn to stand up (everyone stands or you can set a minimum of people to stand) where they are and sing a song from their list. The same song cannot be sang by another group - if they had the same song on their list, they need to cross it off. After one group sings a couple of lines, immediately call on another group to sing another love song - the less time between each group the better...
- If a group runs out of songs or accidentally sings a song that has already been sang they are eliminated from the game.
- The last group remaining in the game wins.
