"Not Even A Hint" Weekend/Sex is not the Problem (Lust Is)
Last weekend we had a "Not Even a Hint" Weekend in which we had an overnighter at the church. As this month is February and can be considered the month of "Love", Matt has been teaching on Love... and so he thought it would be appropriate to have a whole weekend dedicated on the topic of Lust.
The students have just had a lot of questions about the topic of sex and truly they are battling every day with what the world tells them is okay and what is the "norm". I think that it was pretty successful, we had a few students come (less than we had hoped) but it was nice and intimate. The curriculum was based on the book "Not Even a Hint" by Joshua Harris, the book has been renamed "Sex Is Not the Problem - Lust Is". A very good and beneficial read for all ages.
I read this book in my late teens, but I think that if a student has questions or would like to learn more about 'lust', this would be a great book for them to be challenged with, I highly recommend it. Another great thing about this book is that it doesn't just deal with the sin of 'lust', but when it comes to sin our standard must be standards which is "Not even a hint" - Ephesians 5:3.
