Fast Food Formal

This year our youth and youth leaders wanted to do a progressive dinner... and it was kinda hard trying to plan since we have about 80 kids. I think this would be a better alternative (and less pressure for parents...). Thanks for another great idea from Lindsey from Richmond Alliance Church in Richmond, BC.

For this event, we make the youth come all dressed up in their nicest outfits.

Like a traditional progressive dinner where the group goes from house to house eating different parts of a meal (appetizer, main course, dessert etc…), this event also requires going from place to place eating different parts of the meal. BUT, instead of going to people’s homes, you go to fast food restaurants.

For example: First we went to A & W for Rootbeer Floats, then to McDonalds for french-fries, then to Dairy Queen for burgers and then back to one of the youth’s homes for dessert.

Another time, we went to Tim Horton’s for ice caps, then to Burger King for fries and Onion Rings, then to Wendy’s for Burgers. Then back to a youth’s home for dessert.

It’s a fun event, and we always make sure the youth boys act like true gentlemen by making them open all the doors for all the girls and the help serve the food to the everyone.
